Doing digital soil mapping a bit different
You may recall from the digital soil mapping fundamentals page that there are several forms of the ‘doing’ of mapping. The most common approach is the point based approaches that can either be focused on continuous or categorical target variables. This page however is dedicated toward other instances of doing DSM in different data contexts. For example legacy soil map dis-aggregation, or figuring out soil analogues.
The following pages provides a flavor of some other contexts for doing DSM that vary from the well trodden point-based approaches.
